Project Executive

Position Overview:
The Project Executive is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires deep experience in general contracting and a strategic mindset to managing project teams, client expectations, and subcontractor performance. The Project Executive serves as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and is instrumental in driving project success and company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide executive-level oversight of multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Manage and mentor project managers, superintendents, and support staff to ensure project goals are met.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to align expectations and resolve issues.
- Ensure effective project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Maintain accountability for project profitability, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee contract negotiations, scope definition, and subcontractor management.
- Review and approve project financials, forecasts, and progress reports.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive construction management experience, including 3+ years in a project executive or senior project management role.
- Strong background in general contracting, with experience in commercial, concrete and industrial projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneously, complex construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA a plus).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
- Proficient with construction management software MS Project, and Bluebeam.
